Welcome to the Glass workshop on mobile science and gaming.

In this workshop, we'll be looking at two topics: how gaming can help citizen science and how mobiles can enhance online scientific games.

For the workshop, I'm going to be using a "ThinkCamp" format. This is a kind of unconference, where we start with some big challenges and try to think of responses.

Here's the plan....

First, I'll pose some challenges

Next, I'll do a quick demo of my hack for mobile interaction with RedWire. Yes, you'll be asked to volunteer your mobiles!

You'll have the opportunity to have a go at hacking the demo yourself. I'll give a quick introduction to mobile hacking with the excellent Apache cordova library.

After all of the hacking fun and games—if there's time left—we'll break up into groups to do some brainstorming about the challenges.

The workshop is being put on as part of the Citizen Cyberlab Project.

If you want to find out more about me or the TMC,  check out my github page  or my company page. I'm a developer and dev ops guy, who does mobile development for fun and profit when not working for the Man.
